Khalid al Rahal

Iraqi Artist and sculptor who was born in Baghdad in 1926, and belonged to pioneer generation. In his youth, he worked in restoring old statues in Iraq Museum. After that, he completed his study at Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. One of his greatest artworks is the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, and Bow monument, and the Statue of the Abbasid Caliph Abu Jaafar Al Mansour. He died in 1986.

فنان ونحات عراقي ولد في بغداد عام 1926 من جيل الرواد عمل في فترة شبابه في ترميم التماثيل القديمه في المتحف لعراقي بعدها اكمل دراسته في اكادمية الفنون الجميلة في روما ومن اهم اعماله نصب الجندي المجهول وقوس وتمثال الخليفة العباسي ابو جعفر المنصور توفي عام 1986
