Jamil Hamoudi 

A Fine artist who belongs to the pioneer generation, and one of the founders of Iraqi fine art. He was born in Baghdad in 1924, and he deepened his understanding of arts and mastered all its aspects to become fine artist, calligraphist, historian, and sculptor. Gamil also was one of the first to introduce the Arabic letter to the Arabic diacritics.

رسام وفنان تشكيلي من جيل الرواد ومن مؤسسين الفن التشكيلي العراقي ولد في بغداد عام 1924 تعمق في الفنون وابدع فيها فهو فنان تشكيلي وخطاط ومؤرخ ونحات وكان من اوائل اللذين ادخلو الحرف العربي في التشكيل توفي عام 2003
